Vertical imagery can be captured from as low as 500 feet above ground level to altitudes as high as 15,000 above sea level.  Lower flights are ideal for capturing minute details such as vegetation type, soils and substrate types and for high-resolution mapping of restoration or construction sites. 

Higher altitude flights are suited to large scale mapping projects which show development and land use patterns, community and transportation infrastructure, and comprehensive views of landscape processes.
